Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez Lead Star-Studded Nominations For The 2024 People's Choice Awards

The nominees for the 2024 People’s Choice Awards are here, packed with A-listers across movies, TV, music, and pop culture. Fan voting is now open to determine winners in 45 categories honoring the past year’s buzziest content and talents.
Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo Lead the Music Categories
Pop icon Taylor Swift led the music nominations with five total nods. She’s up for Female Artist of the Year, competing with other heavy hitters like Beyonce, Doja Cat, and Nicki Minaj. Her acclaimed album Midnights and hit single “Anti-Hero” also earned nominations. Swift’s record-shattering Eras Tour concert film scored nominations for both The Concert Tour of the Year and The Movie of the Year.
Swift faces off against Olivia Rodrigo in several categories. Rodrigo’s emotional pop album Sour and single “Good 4 U” are nominated alongside Swift’s work. She’s also up for Female Artist and Pop Artist of the Year.
On the male side, country stars Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen tie Swift with five nominations each. Joining them for Male Artist of the Year are Bad Bunny, Drake, Jack Harlow, and The Weeknd. Hip-hop icons Nicki Minaj and Drake also have multiple nods across the rap, collaboration, and album categories.
Selena Gomez Competes for TV Awards
For television, Only Murders in the Building leads with seven total nominations. Star Selena Gomez is up for her performance in the hit Hulu comedy. The show itself competes for both Comedy TV Show and Show of the Year.
Gomez faces competition in the Female TV Star race from Jennifer Aniston of The Morning Show. Aniston’s co-star, Reese Witherspoon, is also nominated in the category.
Other big TV nominees include comedy hits like Abbott Elementary and Ted Lasso. Sci-fi sensation The Last of Us also earned multiple nods.
Barbie, Top Gun Lead Film Nominees
On the movie side, Barbie dominated with eight total nominations. Breakout star Margot Robbie is up for both Female Movie Star and Comedy Movie Star of the Year. The film itself competes for Comedy Movie of the Year.
Oppenheimer followed closely behind with six nods, including for stars Cillian Murphy and Florence Pugh. Top Gun: Maverick also continues awards season success with nominations for Movie and Action Movie of the Year.
Scream queen Jenna Ortega is nominated for her acclaimed performance in Scream VI, while Timothée Chalamet gets a Comedy Movie Star nomination for Wonka. Other nods went to major titles like The Little Mermaid, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
