Uninsured Rate Goes Down, Largely Due to Obamacare

The number of people without health insurance decreased by 1.3 percent between 2014 and 2015, according to a new report released Tuesday by the Census Bureau. In 2015, 9.1 percent of the population, or 29 million people, was uninsured. This was down from 10.4 percent, or 33 million people, in 2014. The coverage gains occurred among the private insurance market, largely attributable to Obamacare, and government coverage like Medicaid or Medicare.

Young Adults Nearly Twice as Likely to Prefer Streaming Music Than Consumers Overall

A Jan. 9-11 Morning Consult/The Hollywood Reporter survey found that nearly one-third (31 percent) of the 2,199 U.S. adults surveyed said their favorite way to listen to music was via streaming services, such as Apple Music or Spotify. Among adults ages 18-29, that share climbed to 59 percent.  The poll’s overall margin of error is 2 percentage points, while the margin of error for the 18-29 subsample is 5 points.
