The Masked Singer season 9 is out of this world! And on this week’s episode, I mean that quite literally. It’s Space Night, introducing two new singers with stellar star potential. And one of them is already shining bright: the Lamp!
So who is the Lamp? And what clues reveal their identity? Let’s go through all we know so far.

The Lamp’s clues start with her in front of a “Masked Singer Airways” sign with her introducing herself as the “flight attendant.” She reveals that the “final destination” is space! We get a mention that tonight’s flight “may get a little bumpy” while the camera zoomed in on a “Fasten Seatbelt” sign and a framed photo of “Captain Nicole” in pilot attire. Lamp claims that she’s terrified of singing, and the shot is of a “Masked Singer Yearbook” with “SENIOR YEAR” written on it.
Lamp talked about “navigating the silver skies” as a preteen, then we see a cauldron photo. As if growing up in front of an audience wasn’t hard enough, she also barely had time for herself. We see the men in black pick up energy drinks. She claims to have kissed Ryan Reynolds, Mario Lopez, and James Van Der Beek.

After her performance, actress Daphne Zuniga delivered a final clue! She brought in a rocket that said “COVER GIRL” on it. The Lamp explained, “let me spell it out, M-A-X-I-M.”
Popular Guesses for The Masked Singer Lamp
Nicole predicted that the Lamp could be Alyssa Milano because of her connection to the 90’s and witches. Jenny threw out a bunch of starlets, like Neve Campbell, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Melissa Joan Hart, and Hilary Duff. Robin thought this could be Tara Reid or Ali Larter, eventually settling on the latter.
The online sleuthing started even before we had clues! Fans have speculated that the Lamp could be Sia, Ashanti, Kelly Rowland, Monica, or Brandy. I personally would love to see one of those latter predictions on the show, especially Monica or Brandy. Is this finally the time?! Robin did mention in a recent interview with Lauren Ashley Beck that he would like to see Brandy on The Masked Singer. Our interest in piqued!
