Demi Lovato is back with another installment in her Vevo live performance series, this time for her song “Eat Me.” The track appears on Lovato’s latest album Holy Fvck, and it’s a collaboration with Royal & the Serpent.
Lovato’s new video takes place in a room with orange carpet and green ceilings covered in lights that flicker during the performance. The singer matches their surroundings, sporting an orange outfit covered in chains.
The clip starts with Lovato sitting on the floor singing the first verse, before the performance explodes into the first chorus. Lovato belts out the lyrics as the band plays, singing, “I can’t spoon-feed you anymore / Dinner’s served, it’s on the floor / I can’t spoon-feed you anymore / You’ll have to eat me as I am.”
Royal & the Serpent joins in on the second verse, with the singer lying face down on the floor at first before standing up to perform the second chorus with Lovato. If it wasn’t clear before that Lovato is solidly in her rock era, it is now.

Last week, Lovato released another Vevo live performance for their song “29.” That video featured the same set as the new “Eat Me” performance, although Lovato wore an all-black outfit instead.
“I knew I wanted to showcase my new music in a unique way for my fans, both visually and sonically,” Lovato said of the performance series. “So when an original live performance with Vevo was on the table, I immediately started to brainstorm creatively—the lighting, the room design, my look and outfits, how to incorporate our incredible female live band—all of it!”
The song “29” recently made headlines for seeming to call out Lovato’s ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. The track is about a romantic relationship between a 17-year-old and a 29-year-old. In the song, Lovato sings, “Finally 29 / Funny, just like you were at the time.”
