America’s Got Talent returned on Tuesday night for the Season 19 premiere, which featured not one but two Golden Buzzers. Host Terry Crews and judge Heidi Klum both did the honors during the two-hour episode.
The first Golden Buzzer of Season 19 went to comedian Learnmore Jonasi, who shared how much he admired host Terry Crews. For his audition, he told jokes about life in his home country of Zimbabwe, making the judges and audience laugh.
After the judges shared their thoughts, Crews stepped out from backstage and stopped them from voting. As it turns out, they didn’t even need to vote, because Crews chose to hit the Golden Buzzer for Learnmore’s audition. He’ll go straight to the live shows.
Later in the episode, school janitor Richard Goodall took the stage to show off his incredible singing voice on a cover of “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey. It was an obvious Golden Buzzer performance — the only question was which judge would step up and do the honors.
That judge turned out to be Heidi Klum, who told Richard that he “knocked me off my feet.” She added, “We all had the best time with you up there on that stage. I really, really feel something when I see you up there and hear you up there.”

The Golden Buzzer acts weren’t the only performances that impressed the judges during the premiere. The episode kicked off with an electrifying dance performance by Los Osos High School. Although Klum and Howie Mandel wanted them to up their game, Simon Cowell called them “brilliant.” They earned three “yes” votes to move on.
Later, magician Sam Huang (aka Crazy Sam) had everyone gasping with his performance, which seemingly involved removing his fingers and moving them around on his hand. All four judges voted “yes” to sending Sam to the next round.
The panel was also wowed by ballet dancer Ashlee Montague, who walked across several bottles in pointe shoes. Although she had a few hiccups in the beginning, she managed to step on every single bottle without knocking them over. The judges were stunned, voting “yes” to sending her through.
